Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your theme preference (light/dark mode) and your authentication token. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services.

5. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your email, reading progress, and shelf data will be permanently removed.

6. Children's Privacy

Runio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
